A decade after Hakkasan arrived on the London dining scene, this second branch looks set to be equally successful. Located in Mayfair, it has less of a clubby feel than the subterranean original. However, the notably sleek and sexy features are still present: dining room divided by wooden screens, skillful lighting, excellent bar. Menus - both a la carte and dim sum - include an embarrassment of luxury ingredients (abalone, wagyu, lobster, foie gras...), adding to the general opulence.
